A View To Kill For
Although most promos are 30 seconds or less, I always prefer to cut longer spots because it gives you more time to tell a story. This is especially true for movie promos where you need time to let things breathe to create drama. After all, editing isn’t about how much you can fit into a spot, but how you can use pacing to evoke an emotional response. For a View to Kill For, we had 60 seconds to work with, and the extra time allowed me to edit a much more dramatic and impactful movie trailer.
